Olives

 

According to ancient Greek tradition, olive hometown is Athens and the first olive tree was planted by Athena on the Acropolis.

There are several varieties of Greek olives recognized as PDO and PGI products.

Truffle Products

 

A relatively rare underground mushroom, which coexist and grow on the roots of certain species of trees or shrubs, in a depth of about 6-15 cm from the ground. It belongs to the genus Tuber (Ascomycetes) and Terfezia, has tuber shape, usually 2-7 cm size and dark gray to pale white color.
It consists mostly of water and minerals absorbed from the soil through the tree which co-exists with and takes its characteristics (color, taste and aroma). Finally, the shape depends on the type of soil.

Pasteli

 

Pasteli” is a Greek traditional sweet prepared from sesame and honey.

 

Both major components (sesame and honey) are natural products with significant nutritional value, offering valuable health benefits.

 

“Pasteli” is considered the Greek "energy bar", as it is “tonic”, and a good source of vitamin E and many minerals such as calcium, phosphorus, potassium, and iron etc.).

Balsamic Vinegar

 

This exceptional vinegar was invented centuries ago as a medicinal balsam (hence the name), for exclusive use by kings and emperors, and only noblemen and royalty shops had the right to sell it.
